Geology Walk

Join scientist Marc as he explores the 100-million-year geological history of Carson Pass on a 3-mile round trip walk to Frog Lake. You’ll learn about the history of the Sierra granite and tectonic collisions, a collapsed lava dome, volcanic mudflows that flowed in from Nevada, and the paths and polish from 1000-foot deep Pleistocene glaciers.”
